Final distributor

Under US device tracking, the final distributor records patient information and passes it to the manufacturer. This lets the manufacturer find patients quickly if a tracked device has a problem.

Final distributor means any person who distributes a tracked device intended for use by a single patient over the useful life of the device to the patient. This term includes, but is not limited to, licensed practitioners, retail pharmacies, hospitals, and other types of device user facilities.
