Function

Notified bodies define qualification criteria per function, and one person can hold several functions. The term helps separate who audits, who reviews files and who makes the final decision.

Function: set of tasks within the conformity assessment process such as auditing, product evaluation or testing, technical documentation review, final review and decision-making. Different functions might be covered under one role (e.g. auditing and testing).
