IVDR devices

The distinction matters during the transition, because legacy devices and IVDR devices have different obligations and documentation. Once a device is certified under the IVDR, the IVDR rules apply in full.

IVDR devices are those devices that are placed on the market as being in conformity with the IVDR other than ‘legacy devices’.
