In the NBOG best practice guide, notified bodies must be able to show knowledge in a reproducible way, for example through tests or documented training. It is assessed alongside education and experience.

Knowledge: understanding of a given subject that is acquired by training or experience which can be measured in an objective and reproducible manner.
