Termination

Under the IDE rules, termination brings reporting duties to FDA, IRBs and investigators. Reaching the planned end of a study is completion, not termination.

Termination means a discontinuance, by sponsor or by withdrawal of IRB or FDA approval, of an investigation before completion.
