Training

This definition comes from notified body guidance on staff qualification, where training is one way to build and keep competence. In a manufacturer's quality system, training records alone do not prove competence; the effectiveness of training has to be evaluated too.

Training: set of activities aimed to acquire and maintain certain level of skills which are needed to carry out a given task.
